     > Sega Fans have come to appreciate the mastery of Yuzo Koshiro's music over the years.  Who would have guessed that a soundtrack for such an old (but still awesome) game would surface?  It's just what the doctor ordered.

     > Back when Streets of Rage 2 (SOR2) came out, the soundtrack was considered "different, yet awesome".  Once SOR3 hit the scene, we really knew Yuzo could push the envelope of creativity.  As it turns out, his music was way ahead of its time, as the SOR2 soundtrack remains fresh even today.

     > The music on this CD, complete with all the original techno-pop songs, is identical to the Genesis original.  It may have been recorded from a higher quality synthesizer than the Z-80, but it sounds exactly the same (note for note).  If you've never heard it, then you need to experience it just once to be hooked...

Bottom Line:
     > If you like videogame music, chances are you love Yuzo Koshiro's music.  His creativity in Revenge of Shinobi and all three Streets of Rage games easily proves that talent can overcome limitations.  A must buy!

Overall: 9.5
