Intro
     > All Japan Pro Wrestling Featuring Virtua (AJPWFV) started out on Sega's ST-V arcade hardware.  It combines a good looking Wrestling game with real Japanese pro athletes, plus Jeffrey and Wolf from the Virtua Fighter series.  In the area of gameplay, AJPWFV is a mixture of button mashing wrestling games with the skill and finesse of Virtua Fighter -- great idea from the fertile minds at Sega of Japan.  Once you get used to the controls, the game is quite importable.  Now lets see what's good and what's not.
Graphics
     > AJPWFV's graphics are 3D polygon and gouraud-shaded.  The view is a constantly changing 3rd person perspective that works well with the action.  As would be expected from Sega, the animations are nice and smooth.  A large crowd fills the boxing arena for an excellent environment.  There are some minor graphical glitches when you get near the ring edges, but it's nothing to be concerned about.
Control
     > Tons of moves are available to you and they're easy to control.  Attack, hold and throw are your main moves with combinations and D-pad movement giving you many additional moves.  The ability to perform taunts and counter moves is at your disposal as well.  If you need to hone your skills, just play the training mode.
Sound
     > AJPWFV's music is subtle and only present in the intros.  I would have preferred the option to hear music during the fights, though.  The sound effects are nicely realistic, and include chants, painful moans and the beat of the platform.
Fun
     > There's 12 wrestlers to pick from and an option to create your own.  Thanks to the mini x-ray that pops up after pulling off a particularly powerful attack, breaking the various bones of your opponent's body has never been more fun or graphically satisfying.  I may just become a wrestling fan after all.... not really!
Bottom Line
     > A nice way to add that "Virtua Feeling" to a wrestler.  I may not be a pro wrestling fan, but I'd recommend AJPWFV to wrestling fans and maybe even fighter fans.  Importing is the only way to go since this game never made it to the USA.
